11 21 Classic structure of a drama A drama is a genre we do not usually read, but watch performed on stage. This might be a reason this genre is not particularly popular with younger people. Nevertheless, drama is usually studied at school. You have probably already done a course on drama in German class. While there have always been and always will be dramas that do not follow the classic organisation, the classic structure of five acts is the most common, regardless of the language the drama is written in.
