English Lea- Sophie K. FOS19/Sauer Comment Exercise ) Can we still save our planet from overheating? - Give your opinion in a comment of about 400 words. use the ideas that we have collected so far. Nowadays, climate change is a real problem in and for our world. The world is overheating, summers are becoming hotter, droughts are common and our environment is in a bad state. We have to change and to overthink our behaviour in order to change something and to save our planet from overheating. Climate change is something we all have to face ! And just because we don't notice it everyday doesn't mean that climate change is water under the bridge. In the following I'm going to comment on the question ,,Can we still save our planet from overheating?". I will start by looking at negative answers for the question and after that I will take a look at positive answers for the question. I'll end by giving my own opinion. Some areas e.g. large portions of the arid Southwest have experienced prolonged drought since 2001. I don't think that we can really change something here. Not at this point. In this case a change had to come earlier and we passed this time. Increased heat, drought, and insect outbreaks, all...

linked to climate change, have increased wildfires. Over the course of the 21st century, the Southwest will experience significant increases in drought frequency and overall aridity as a result of anthropogenic global warming. Due to climate change warmer surface temperatures will increase evaporative demand, leading to reduced soil moisture content. Moreover, the global CO2 emissions have been steadily increasing since 1960, and this has a considerable impact on the overheating of our planet. Since today the figures did not decrease enough to save the planet" although we are informed about the consequences of climate change. In addition, some people just don't care and they don't want to change their behaviour or use alternatives e.g. for the heat production. They think that a single person can't change anything and that's why they just keep doing what they do. And if many people feel and think that way, we can't really save our planet from overheating. But there are still some things we can do to save our planet from overheating. Not all hope is gone and lost yet. In order to ,,save our planet" we can use some alternatives in our daily life. Modernizing the house would be a first step into the right direction. Insulating the roof or putting new windows in, covering the pipes, installing new heating systems and solar power or filling the gaps around the door are ways to reduce energy and heating in an environmental friendly way. These are things that families and private households can do. The government should improve the public transport so that everyone is able to use e.g. the train instead of the car because our personal vehicles are a major cause of global warming. Car pollution contributes significantly to climate change, which results from a buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Burning fossil fuels in cars releases carbon dioxide, which is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions. So, avoiding the car by walking, using public means of transport or by buying an electric car could also save our planet from overheating somehow. English Lea- Sophie K. FOS19/Sauer Everyone can change something and if you don't have the money to modernize your home or to avoid your car, you can do some little things and changes that will help too. You can start recycling more carefully or you can place low-energy lightbulbs around the house. Buying local food (vegetables, fruits, meat...) is also a good way to help the planet". Don't throw rubbish into the nature, try to travel less in order to save CO2 emissions and create a better awareness for what's going on and how global warming could affect our daily life if it doesn't change. Companies are also a main consumer of energy. In order to do something good they should make contracts with suppliers about renewable energy and install solar systems on their roofs. They should also modernize their machines or just use energy efficient machines. Moreover they can also support their workers to use the public transport instead of driving the car to work daily. In my opinion we can still save our planet from overheating in a certain way. Some areas already feel the consequences of global warming and overheating and this would be hard to undo and to change but I think that we can slow down the process when we all try to. It would be great if the CO2 emissions would stop rising but start decreasing or if the would remain at the same level at least. S In order to accomplish this, small changes need to be done by each of us.
