Rosa Parks Rosa Park choosed to take a seat in the bus on her ride home.when she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger, she was arrested for disobeying an Alabama law that requieres black people relinquish seats to white people when the bus was full. Her arrest led to a 381-day boy- cott of the Montgomery bus system, in order to abolish segregation in public transportations. Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. After attending to the Crozer Theological Seminary he followed his idol Mahatma Ghandi, who struggled to free people from india from the British rule by peaceful revolution. Kings Involvement with the civil rights movement began with the ar- rest of Rosa Parks on December 1st, 1955. He attended to the Montgo- mery Bus Boycott. When the protests ended after 381 days, King became a famous leader of the black people and founded the Souther Christian Leadership Conference, which he led. On April the 3rd 1968 Martin Luther King Jr was shot and killed in the age of 39 years.
