Global warming Freitag, 21. Mai 2021 18:41 Did you know, that the heat from human emissions is roughly equal to 400.000 Hiroshima atomic bombs exploding across the planet every single day? In this monologue I am going to tell you how we destroy our earth and what we can or should do against global warming. We all destroy our earth with industry, transportation, agriculture and fossil fuel wich causes a lot of problems. Because of carbon dioxide the temperature is rising very fast and the last 5 years where the hottest ever. Other weather extremes are hurricanes, floods and wildfires. If we don't slow down global warming, ice will melt and the ocean level will rise. This is a big problem since a lot of important cities are built near the ocean and will be underwater. That will cause overpopulation because there won't be enough space for all the people. To fix those problems we must have a big, common goal and a transformation step by everyone. We need a green economy and therefore we have to change our way of living and reduce our carbon footprint. For example you should always look at which food you buy and how often you eat it. Replacing red meat with chicken, fish and eggs for one day per week reduces emissions equal to...

760 miles per year of driving. You could also easily switch to vegetables one day per week which cuts the equivalent of driving 1160 miles per day. But the most important thing we all need to do is to speak up. A lot of Libertarians and other political conservatives don't like the policies proposed to fight climate change which is why they are actively undermining the science to try and block them. This idea comes from the oil and coal industry because they favour making money above everything else. That's why a strong and collective action through states is how we'll make the most impact. We need carbon neutrality by 2050 if we want to follow the "path of hope" and for that all big emitters must do more and (the) G20 countries must all contribute. Also the political will to change our situation has to be shown. But overall every single person has to change small things and speak up to help slowing down global warming. And do we really want to continue destroying our earth by our way of life?
