Sources ACTION AGAINST HUNGER General information Establishment: 1979 in Paris, France First name "Action Contre la Faim" Supports and stands up for more than 21 million people in many different countries Since 40 years 5016 International network • The individual section works independently CONTA HAN History and development ● Established by a group of French Intellectuals in 1979 Cause There was an emergency situation in Afghanistan First chairman was Alfred Kistler 1989 the organisation works in collaboration with more than 20 countries Supports the research for the management of severe malnutrition All in all Engages for many things for example 1990 for medical treatments, stopping malnutrition and so or Achieved a lot through the years ● What does the organisation do? Leading organisation which : Works voluntary Delivers the water to families who need it Helps in time Saves the lives of children Fights to stop malnutrition all over the world and for clean water Works with the concerned person after and before the catastrophe Enables children to grow up strong ACTION Projects AGAINST HUNGER Strengthening fragile communities to improve their access to food Developing healthy diet projects to reduce the infant malnutrition that is partly caused by AIDS/HIV Introducing food security activities Supporting the domestic economy of families who are concerned Their vision and values Independent from the State ● Does not tolerate any discrimination Neutrality Talks...
